Newsletter
A periodical consisting of
only few pages of current information intended for a limited audience.
Newsletters are published by many organizations, for example, by database hosts.
It is assumed that newsletters arose in German banks and compagnies in the
sixteenth century. Their history is, however, difficult to trace because many
newsletters have not been preserved.
Example: PsycINFO News. Washington, D.C.: American Psychological Association,
1980- .

(4 issues each about 6 pages a year).
(Danish synonyms: Nyhedsblad; husorgan; informationsblad og nyhedsbrev).
