Anthology
The word anthology means a selection of writings published in one volume.
Anthology is synonym to "a reader" or "readings". For example, a feminist anthology might as well be termed a feminist reader or feminist readings. This definition is quite different from common definitions, e.g. in Wikipedia (2005), which do not consider non-fiction.
Example: the book "Gender, Race, and Class in Media: A Text-Reader (2nd edition)," edited by Gail Dines and Jean M. Humez (2003). From an abstract "For the past several years there has been a gaping need for a current anthology of readings on popular culture that approaches the subject from a media studies perspective"
