Systems analysis

"Systems analysis is the science dealing with analysis of complex, large scale systems and the interactions within those systems. This field is closely related to operations research. " (Wikipedia, 2005).

More generally may systems analysis be understood as work that involves applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the requirements of customer organizations.
