The Royal School of Library and Information Science
(RSLIS), Denmark is a university institution for development,
education and research at the highest scientific level in the
field of Library and Information Science (LIS).
The educational programmes of RSLIS rank from undergraduate to
PhD-studies and are aimed at a variety of jobs in public libraries,
research libraries, public administration, organisations and
private companies. The school's graduates are very much in demand,

Facts about the Royal School of Library and Information
Science (RSLIS)
RSLIS is located in Copenhagen and Aalborg (the Northern
part of Jutland). The total number of students enrolled in the
Royal School of Library and Information Science is about 1,000 with
approx 200 in Aalborg and 800 in Copenhagen. The academic staff is
distributed in three in-house departments: Information
Studies, Library and Information Management, and Culture and
Media.
The knowledge society offers good job opportunities for masters
and librarians, and an increasing number of graduates find job
openings in the private sector as information specialists,
webmasters, etc.
The Royal School of Library and Information Science's Consultancy
Department offers a full-scale advice and consultancy service
covering all aspects of LIS.
